I believe it’s fair to say that each and every girl wants her eyelashes to be long, thick and beautiful. That is why so many of us use mascara to enhance these. Rumour has it that vaseline can make your lashes grow longer, and that’s what I’m going to write about today.
Petroleum jelly does help your hair to grow longer, thicker and stronger. Same applies to your eyelashes. And while some say that it doesn’t actually make them grow longer, you still might want to consider using Vaseline from now on, and here’s why.
Petroleum jelly has amazing moisturising properties, as it locks in moisture. That means that if you apply it to your hair or eyelashes it will have a conditioning effect, as Vaseline moisturises the base and roots of your hair/eyelashes.
Whether they will grow longer or not they will surely be much stronger and less likely to fall out. So, if you have dry and brittle eyelashes you should definitely consider using petroleum jelly.
Also, since it’s a moisturiser it can help the skin around the eyelid stay smooth and supple.
Best way to apply it is right before bedtime. I just tap it onto my lashes, but some use a cleaned mascara wand.
I’ve tried it before, but I started using Vaseline on my eyelashes just yesterday and I will continue doing so for the next month. I will share the results on Instagram on the 28th of July ♥
